NEW YORK — It is one of the first signs that the holiday season is almost here: the opening of the famous Macy’s windows in its Herald Square flagship store.
This year, the long-awaited photos will be open from November 17 for those who wish to get into the festive spirit a little earlier.
So what will be the theme of this year’s exhibitions? According to Macy’s, the goal will be “to celebrate togetherness with holiday nostalgia.” The windows will follow a reindeer, Tiptoe, spreading Christmas cheer.
“Each exhibition will showcase a different world made from basic materials such as gingerbread, yam, flannel, paper, wood and mirror to create moments of discovery, joy and excitement,” the press release reads.
The Christmas windows will be on display until January 1, 2023.
