Macy’s fireworks returned in all their glory last night after being broadcast virtually last year by the pandemic.
Tourists and residents of the Big Apple flocked to the waterfront to witness the show.

The city deployed security agents at various points to avoid any mishap.
For many New Yorkers, this celebration of the independence of the country is synonymous with the freedom to enjoy together in this phase of the pandemic.
Macy’s representatives tell us they dropped more than 65,000 rounds from five barges onto the East River in Manhattan last night.
To get an idea of the magnitude of this celebration, 25 thousand were launched in 2019.
