KONTAN.CO.ID – Apple has just released its newest operating system (OS), MacOS Big Sur. Unfortunately, some older MacBook users experience problems that cause their laptops to turn off after doing so update.
MacOS Big Sur is predicted to bring a more beautiful appearance and of course cool new features. Even though MacOS Big Sur is the newest OS, Apple still allows older MacBook users to do so update to the OS.
Unfortunately, process update to MacOS Big Sur is not so smooth for legacy MacBook laptop users. Especially MacBook users from 2013-2014 actually experience problems that make their laptops die.
When processing update to MacOS Big Sur takes place, suddenly their MacBook screen black black.
Quoting from Engadget.comThis problem was experienced by users of the 13-inch MacBook Pro output around the end of 2013 or mid-2014.

When update MacOS Big Sur, suddenly MacBook black screen. This means, nothing appears on the screen even though the MacBook machine looks still working.
Hence, users first try to force it to shutdown within a few hours. After that, try to turn it back on. The screen is on, but the laptop machine doesn’t seem to be working.
In fact, the fan does not appear to be spinning or indicate it is working. The user then tries to reset both the NVRAM and SMC parts, but to no avail.

Still launching from Engadget, a technician managed to repair a customer’s MacBook who had this problem.
According to the technician, he managed to fix the problem after removing it chip IC for port HDMI. Unfortunately, he wasn’t sure that was the reason.
Engadget reported, Apple has asked at least one MacBook owner with the problem to send the unit for service. The goal is none other than, so that Apple can find out more about what the problem is like.
So, for you old MacBook users especially the 2013-2014 release, undo the intention in advance to update to Big Sur, yes. So that no unwanted problems occur.
