Libreville, Thursday 2 & September 2023 (Infos Gabon) – This is what seems to be taking shape for the future of the Senegalese Head of State.
Senegalese President Macky Sall will not seek a third term in his country. At the end of the next presidential election, he will hand over to his successor. Which means that in April 2024 he will be free to exercise another function.
And, when asked whether he could agree to occupy the position of Secretary General of the United Nations (UN), Macky Sall did not say no. But, according to him, the subject is not current. In any case, if several countries offered it to him, he would not be able to refuse.
The Senegalese Head of State, who is taking part in the 78th UN General Assembly in New York, answered questions from journalists from France 24 and RFI.
