American philanthropist MacKenzie Scott, ex wife from the founder of Amazon, Jeff Bezosdonated 436 millions of dollars a the construction NGO of households Habitat for Humanity and dozens of its US affiliates, the organization said Tuesday.

the massive donation will be shared between Habitat for Humanity International and 84 affiliated US organizations, and will serve for increase the supply of cheap houses, in particular for Afro communities, according to the group.
“Even before covid, we had a one in seven families paying more than half of their income in rent or mortgage,” Reckford said.
