The Macao Novel Coronavirus Infection Response Coordination Center announced that the epidemic prevention measures for people entering the Macao Special Administrative Region from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Taiwan Region and foreigners are being modified as follows:
1. Maintain the obligation to have a nucleic acid test report within 72 hours of the sampling date that meets the requirements when boarding an aircraft, vessel or vehicle to travel to Macao;
2. Cancel the following measures after entry: nucleic acid test upon arrival, Macao health code “red code” and nucleic acid test on the third day from the day after entry.
3. After entering the country, Macao health code is “yellow code”, accepting self-health management, and for 5 consecutive days starting the day after entering the country, take a test every day of the new coronavirus antigen and upload the results to the Macao Health Code. After uploading the negative rapid antigen test result on the fifth day, the Macao health code will be converted to a “green code”.
If the rapid antigen test results in the above process are positive, the Macao Health Code will be converted to a “code red” and home isolation measures must be taken for infected persons. After entry, you can leave the Macao SAR at any time to travel to the Hong Kong SAR, Taiwan Region and overseas, but the measures stipulate that you cannot travel to Mainland China through the Administrative Region Macao special until 00:00 on the 9th day following the day of entry remain unchanged.
