In June First date at the altar -expert and Psychotherapist Maaret Kallion the dog died in an accident.
Kallio said at the time that the family’s dog, Nekku, had died in a “tragic accident”, in which a loved one who took care of the dog was also injured. Kallio has not shared further details of what happened, because they are “brutal”.
Nekku was missed both as a family member and a colleague, because he was also a therapy dog.
Now Kallio is touchingly writing greetings to his late colleague and family member with the happy news. The Instagram post shows that there is a new dog in the family.
– Hello, my dear Nekkus, go somewhere. I just wanted to let you know that we have now received the second dog that we talked to you about for a long time. He just came now as our only one, and not for your teaching, as we planned, Kallio writes.
In his publication, Kallio describes the new pet as brisk, playful, fluffy, loving and incredibly lovely. It has been named Nasu.
If the publication does not appear, you can view it from this link.
In his greetings, Kallio tells his late dog how it taught the family to be dog owners and thanks to the previous dog, they now know how to be better for Nasu.
– Nasu still teaches us a lot of new things – about himself, us and the world, Kallio predicts.
– You came to practice at my workplace when you were little. We attended trainings on how you could be involved in psychotherapy. One long-time customer practiced arrivals and departures with you at the reception, you would remember him. I believe that he too will remember you forever, Kallio continues the story of his previous dog.
Kallio writes that he does not yet know if Nasus, like his predecessor, will also become a therapy dog that meets clients. Time will tell if acting as a therapy dog is good for it.
– You know this, but I still want to say: We are both very happy for Nasus and very sad for you. I still miss you so much. You were exactly the dog I wanted since I was a little girl. You will never forget, Kallio writes wistfully.
Many of Kallio’s followers apparently share similar experiences and the publication has brought them to tears.
– Thank you again for the touching and thought-provoking text. Here, as a dog owner, tears are rolling down my cheeks and I strongly doubt that I’m not the only one, someone writes.
Kallio replies that even as a writer he suffered from the same “flooding problem”.
– Tears are rolling down my cheeks when I read this. Similar feelings of longing and joy confronted us almost two years ago. Missing doesn’t subside, it just changes its shape over time, but love is and remains, one commenter writes.
– During the summer, I cried how many times when a dog I didn’t know left. And I cry again, this time tears of joy. Congratulations on the new family member! someone congratulates.
– A wonderful article that hardly any dog owner can read without spilling something, one guesses.
