According to a statement on Wednesday from the Media Service Support Fund and Asset Management (MTVA), the public media will continue to be the first to choose between the matches of the two football series on Thursday. The meetings will be available for free on the channel M4 Sport, on the website m4sport.hu, and on the National Sports Radio. Kossuth Rádió also broadcasts the matches of the Hungarian teams.
MTVA CEO Dániel Papp said: “According to the experience of the past years, the Europa League and the Conference League are the two leagues where we are most likely to meet the NB I team, so we thought that it was very important the Hungarian fans continue to be able to watch your games for free, without a subscription.”
Starting from the 2024/2025 season, the schedule of both series will be updated. A regular season of eight games will be introduced in the Europa League and six games in the Conference League. The eight best of the 36 participating teams automatically advance to the round of 16, and the 9-24. seeded teams will determine the runner-up in playoff games.
M4 Sport broadcasts a summary at the end of each matchday, in which the most important moments of all the matches will be shown, in addition, the channel has obtained the exclusive right for the finals of the two series broadcast live in Hungary.
DON’T lose it
The performance of Hungarian teams will receive special attention: Ferencváros will definitely be on the main table in one of the series, while Paks and Puskás Akadémia are still competing for the main table of the Conference League.
