Haiti –
Earthquake a magnitude (M) 7.2 occurred in Haiti. The earthquake was reported to have the potential for a tsunami.
As reported by Reuters, Saturday (14/8/2021), the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers.
The epicenter of the earthquake was 8 kilometers from the town of Petit Trou de Nippes or about 150 kilometers from the capital, Port-au-Prince. The US Tsunami Warning System issued a tsunami warning after the earthquake occurred.
Haitian media reported that some people along the coast had also fled to the mountains after the quake.
