An earthquake with a magnitude (M) 5 occurred in Bogor, West Java. The earthquake has no potential for a tsunami.
Through its Twitter account, the BMKG said that the earthquake occurred on Sunday (1/15/2023) at 03.29 WIB. The location of the earthquake was 25 km northwest of Bogor City.
“Info of the Earthquake Mag: 5.0, 15-Jan-23 03:32:19 WIB,” tweeted the BMKG.
The location of the earthquake was at 6.52 south latitude and 106.58 east longitude. Earthquake depth 132 Km.
BMKG warned of the potential for aftershocks.
“BMKG’s advice is to be careful of aftershocks that might occur,” he added.
