An earthquake measuring 5.3 magnitude (M) rocked Mamasa, West Sulawesi (Sulbar). Earthquake no tsunami potential.
“There is no potential for a tsunami,” the BMKG wrote on its official Twitter account, Thursday (22/7/2021).
The earthquake occurred at 00:44 WIB with coordinates 2.96 south latitude and 119.43 east longitude.
The epicenter of the earthquake was 12 km southeast of Mamasa, West Sulawesi, with a depth of 10 km.
It is not yet known whether there was damage to facilities and casualties from the earthquake in Mamasa, West Sulawesi.
