Solidarity continues. The boss of Pignouf, at Lyon (Rhône), offers “Good restaurants” to students.
“The idea came with a friend, Nathalie Berberian, which is very involved in the economic fabric of real estate in Lyon. We offered to entrepreneurs, private individuals, individuals, to finance menus at 6 € for students »Says Geoffrey Clavel, owner of Pignouf.
Within these menus, a burger and a drink.
The concept launched three weeks ago, “ We have already received funding for 800 meal plans. Some entrepreneurs call us and say ‘I’ll take 10 tickets’. And it continues ! ”
Moreover, he does not want to stop: “There is no end date. As long as it is useful, it will be maintained.«
Anyone can take part in this solidarity: “You just have to come, take a € 6 menu, and that will finance a voucher for the students. We are selling at cost for this business ”promises Geoffrey Clavel.
Distributed by four assos
The vouchers are distributed once a week, by four associations: Ouhlala International, the Lyonnais heart, Land of Lions and Let’s help each other.
“They do marauding for students. But it’s not just our vouchers, they distribute packed lunches, hot dishes… ”recalls, modestly, the boss of Pignouf.
We are only part of the iceberg, just one element. We just complete.
More than a simple ticket, an offer of “kiff”
These vouchers “have no expiry voucher. They drop by when they want. We are not going to tell them at some point ‘oh too late, the operation is over’! »Geoffrey Clavel reassures.
It’s a joker in your wallet, when you have a slab, when you need it
The boss doesn’t want it to be taken as a “simple” ticket, a simple good restaurant:
“It’s a social spot, a moment of conviviality. You come, you come home, you have the music blaring, you clear your mind, it’s an offer of fun. Just because you’re a student and having a hard time doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a little ! »
Also with this in mind “It is not displayed on the ticket that it is offered. The goal is not for them to come and be ashamed, to say ‘I didn’t pay for my menu’ ”.
As soon as the first tickets were distributed for the first time at Blandan Park, the first students flocked.
