After a career as a gymnast, a stint in politics alongside Gérard Collomb in Lyon (Rhône), Yann Cucherat launches into music… or almost. The elected member of the opposition lent his voice for the Restos du cœur. (© François Hamelin / news Lyon)
Monday 25 January 2021, Yann Cucherat was back from Paris. The councilor of the opposition to the city of Lyon (Rhône) was where we didn’t expect him: behind a microphone.
With the Sports stars of which he is part, the elected representative gave voice to the benefit of Eating from the heart. An unforgettable experience he told Lyon news.
Athletes in singers mode
“Today, we no longer have the right to be hungry or to be cold”. It is full of spirit that the elected Lyonnais hummed these famous words alongside in particular Corinne Deacon, coach of the women’s football team or the former tennis player Guy Forget.
In all, nearly 80 athletes, members of Sports stars, who took part in the “Sport has a heart” action: for three weeks they organize a raffle to meet athletes, the profits of which will be donated in full to the Restos du cœur. So it was necessary this song to mark the occasion!
“It was a nice moment”
Surrounded by the “great family of sport”, Yann Cucherat therefore pushed the song. His performance will be visible in a clip broadcast on February 4 next.
If he was a little “stressed by exercise, he could count on the advice of the famous musician Manu Katché.
It is a solidarity and charity action so it could only go well. It was funny
The former gymnast was delighted with this day, as were the volunteers from the Restos du Coeur who came to watch the recording in the studio: “it gave a boost, a dynamic, it was a great meeting”, he smiles.
One thing is certain: the former gymnast will remember this “nice and good-natured” experience for a long time. And maybe he will even hum the tune composed by Jean-Jacques Goldman during the next municipal council.
To participate in the raffle and try to win a privileged moment with Laurent Blanc, Fabien Galthié, Sarah Ourahmoune, Marie-José Pérec, Nikola Karabatic or even Thomas Coville, it’s
this way.-
