Like Marseille, Rennes completely missed its first part of the season. The Breton club finished the first leg phase in 10th place in the Ligue 1 standings. The Rennes leaders intend to take advantage of the winter transfer window to strengthen themselves and hope to achieve a much better second half of the season.
“We had a good chat with Julien. We agree on the profiles,” Florian Maurice declared recently. According to information from RMC Sport, at least one central defender is expected to strengthen this particularly weak sector of play in the first months of competition. The former OM and Lyon player will have to aim lower than the avenues attempted last summer, which quickly became inaccessible for the club (Lenglet, Aguerd, etc.).
