He is a Lyonnais, Farid Hamel, who succeeds Stéphanois, Robert Galletti to the presidency ofAdministration for a period of three years. The former president of Lyon (2018-2020) thus assumes the reins of an important institution of the Lyon judicial ecosystem.
200 student lawyers trained each year at Edara
The Rhône-Alpes School of Lawyers welcomes a promotion of around 200 student lawyers each year, and then issues the valuable certificate of aptitude for the profession of lawyer (Capa), the final exam which marks an 18-month training, before entry formal in the profession. Edara also offers a continuing education course.
Farid Hamel, 40 years at the bar
Specializing in commercial law, Farid Hamel was sworn in in 1982 and began his career at Roland Verniau’s firm as an associate.
Elected member of the Council of the Order in 1992 and then in 1995, he was then president of Lyon between 2018 and 2020.
He also chaired the welfare and solidarity commission within the Lyon Bar Association and until then held the position of Vice-President of the National Fund of French Bar Associations.
