Lyngen Municipality in Troms Witnessed an Avalanche

There has been an avalanche on Kavringtinden in Lyngen in Troms.

Two of Norske Redningshunder’s avalanche dog crew members are flown out with the police helicopter to the scene, they state on Twitter.

Volunteers from the Red Cross Relief Corps have also been called out.

According to Future in the North five foreign persons must be involved.

High avalanche danger

There is currently a high risk of avalanches in Troms and Western Finnmark. In many places, the avalanche danger is at level 4, shows an overview from Varsom.no.
