Protected key witnesses codenamed ’67B’ ’67F’ and ’67E’ describe minute by minute what happened on the fateful night of the deputy constable’s murder George Lyggeridis outside the closed gym “Melina Merkouri” but also the action of the leading members of the organized fans, the episodes that can cause or even stop simply with a meaning and of course the financial benefits they obtained from the various transactions they made.
The key witness named “67B” describes those who stand out in the stands of Olympiakos, the “big ones” as they are called, saying: “We see them all sitting down together, that is, in an area where spectators are not allowed to enter but only accredited persons, they also have a card. They also move freely in all areas of the stadiums without any restrictions, i.e. they enter any gate they want during the match, roam around the pitch and some of them also give orders to the organizer who conveys them to the organized fans with the duduka”.
Who is in command
Regarding the alleged leader, he testifies that “he also gives the orders to the organizer and when some people don’t obey, he gathers a group of his own people and they beat and beat the people who don’t obey. Their behaviors show that they are in command of Gate 7 led by…”.
Regarding other incidents of violence, “67B” describes how “in 2019 Olympiakos fans who belong to… attacked and stabbed a Panathinaikos fan girl…” while below about another match he says: “I also saw that before the match outside the stadium, specifically outside from gate 5 o…, he used a pen flare, which accidentally hit an Olympiakos fan, who was accompanying two or three children and was outside the grocery store. When that fan reacted, he went and hit him.”
In what ways do they earn money?
Witness “67B” explains that they earn money from the sale of tickets in their possession “which they sell before the matches with a cap, the amount of which depends on the demand that exists. At the stadium “G. I have seen Karaiskakis… having a package of tickets and giving them to his own people to sell them in the way I mentioned to you.”
The second protected witness “67F” talks about three people, who seem to be always on their feet. “They are in almost all Olympiacos matches in most sports, they usually sit inside the playing field, some wear a badge and make decisions both for the organization of the stands with slogans, banners, etc., as well as for major events that are going to happen. I mean in incidents that have happened, either with the police or with opposing fans, they are the ones who will have the first and last say on how and when the attacks will take place.”
The third witness, “67E” says about two of the alleged leaders: “I have seen them with my own eyes having a gun-pistol with which they were actually firing straight shots into the air, towards the sea, outside the S stadium. E.F. during a match” while describing how one of them “for the last 1-1.5 years, has been taking money from all the canteen stalls (about 20) with the skewers and sandwiches that are present at every Olympiacos match outside the stadium of S.E.F.. I have seen with my own eyes that he sends “LITTLE” to break the stalls in case they didn’t give the money he asked for or he forces them to pick up the stalls and leave. In particular, he gets at least twenty euros (20) from each counter. In the past he would go himself and get the money, but now he sends the “LITTLE” to collect the amount, which they then give to him and he rewards them with a small pocket money”.
Who are the “big men” in command?
Witness “67E” explains how the so-called “big men” operate within the links of organized fans. “By ‘ADULTS’ I mean people over the age of 25 who are actively involved with Gate 7, attend many Olympiacos matches, arrange matters related to the organization of the stand, the transport of banners, flares and smoke generators and also make decisions about the big falls on rival associations and also on Policemen. Here I want to note that the naval flares and smoke generators are all out. All decisions are made mainly by…” and mentions two specific people.
In addition to the “big ones” there are also the “little ones” who, as “67E” explains, are “people aged from 16 to about 24 who recently joined Gate 7 and who are used by the “BIG ONES” to be able to have a numerical superiority when will carry out their attacks.”
But their action does not stop here. “The leadership team receives invitations to enter gate 7 from the Olympiakos management and distributes them to the MIKROS to enter the stadium for free. If they have some left over, they also give them to link members who are not part of their groups. They also take tickets which they sell outside the stadium with a hat to ordinary Olympiakos fans who have not managed to find a ticket, for the purpose of personal profit. I’ve seen people at games pull out a bunch of fifty bucks selling tickets. This is also helped by the accreditation cards carried by the “BIG” players, which are supplied by the Olympiakos administration, which enables them to move freely both inside and outside the sports facilities.
“All of the above combined with the awe and respect that the “LITTLE” feel for the “BIG” are enough for them to submit to all their orders. That is, when they are called for knocking down opposing fans or the Police they gather, mainly at night, as well as for other types of illegalities, such as protection and drugs.
