With her current EP “Silver” in her luggage, newcomer Luzine made her way to our DIFFUS stage at the Hamburg Reeperbahn Festival. Since her first releases, the singer from Aschaffenburg has been giving unsparing insights into her psyche, including self-doubt, fears and desires. On a bassy club beat with synthesizer melodies that are reminiscent of retro video game music, which, when puzzled together, results in her significant dark bubblegum rap, Luzine tells of manipulation. Lines like “Nothing that keeps me here / I’ll take care of myself now / Because they have nothing against me” created a very special atmosphere on our own stage at the Reeperbahn Festival – and achieved exactly the goal that Luzine initially wanted to achieve Music started. In our short interview at the festival, she says that she simply has a lot to get rid of and say – which is definitely noticeable in her soulful songs.
