There are people who deserve to be highlighted and Maryse Le Magnen whom we met on Tuesday 23 February is one of them.

Maryse – 90 years old – has a strong character and does not hide it but she is above all a woman of heart.

Her professional career took place mainly in the Paris region: work in wool then, then in sewing, where she learned to sew and finally ended her career as a janitor in Seine-Saint-Denis.

She and her disabled husband will then have happy days in Normandy. When she loses her husband, Maryse, whose children live in Gigouzac, gets closer to them and enters the Autonomous Residence A. Drappier nine years ago.

But why would you say to yourself to speak of Maryse Le Magnen in this way? This is because this person spends most of his time thinking about others. She thus participated in the campaign to manufacture anti-Covid masks. Having learned to knit from her grandmother who raised her, this grandmother who has a heart of gold makes knitting or crochet squares that when sewn together will form a magnificent warm blanket, it is even knitted baby booties for people in difficulty and intended for the Red Cross.

But that’s not all because in addition to these achievements she knits rabbits, trees which will then be sold at the Christmas market for charity.

Maryse is a smile and kindness itself. An example to follow for all those who live only for themselves, ignoring that there are people next to them that need support or just a smile.
