When you think about high-end, high-performance cars, names like Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati and Porsche immediately come to mind, certainly not SUVs or even small cars. Yet there are machines with a price that is not so high, which guarantee similar performance to those of the big brands we have mentioned. Sedans and station wagons, thanks to electric motors, are able to offer power and refined aesthetics.

Although today Sport Utility Vehicles are the most popular vehicles and loved by users all over the world due to their sturdiness and size, even bulky hand-held models continue to give a good response. One of these is the Peugeot 508, also very popular due to its compactness. With the Mercedes A-Class, however, you enter the planet of quiet luxury, where the costs are higher and the dimensions are the same.

The homeland of this type of vehicle is Germany, while Italy confirms itself as the leader when it comes to sports cars and small cars, even if they are very often made abroad, in this case in Poland, Morocco and Serbia.
Let us now go into the specifics of three specimens that represent the category. Let’s start with Mercedes-AMG C 63 Performance Station Wagon. 4.77 meters long, 1.84 meters wide and 1.46 meters high, it features 19 and 20 inch alloy wheels. Equipped with eight modes, it can reach a speed of 250 km/h. The engine is a 2-liter plug-in hybrid, with a 6.1 kWh battery and a 400-volt architecture. The horsepower is 476 with a torque of 545 Nm regarding the endothermic part. For the electric one we are in the order of 204 hp and 320 Nm of torque, for a total of 608 hp and 1020 Nm of torque. The transition from zero to one hundred km/h is completed in 3.4 seconds. To have it at home you need more than 109 thousand euros.
Then we have the Audi RS 6 Performance. 4.99 meters long and 1.95 meters wide, it weighs two tons. Powered by all-wheel drive, it boasts 630 hp and 850 Nm. The transition from stationary to one hundred km7h takes 3.4 seconds. One of its peculiarities lies in the fact that, deprived of sound-absorbing panels, it offers strong auditory emotions. The top speed is 280 km/h, but if you request the RS Dynamic package you can reach 305 km/h, complete with a braking system with carbon ceramic discs. You have to put it on the plate 149mila euro.

Let’s move on to BMW M3 Competition Touring. Equipped with a 3.0 twin-turbo inline six-cylinder, it is capable of releasing up to 510 hp, for a maximum torque of 650 Nm. The leap from zero to one hundred km/h in 3.6 seconds. By pressing the gas all the way down you can reach 250 or 280 km/h, if you choose the M Drivers package. Consumption is around 10 liters per 100 km. Cost 114 thousand euros.
Finally we close with BMW M5 Competition Touring. The term component is a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8. Overall it reaches 800 hp and 1000 Nm of torque. The sprint from 0 to 100 km/h takes place in 3.3 seconds. On the market from 142.550 euro.
