Luxury-slow train travel, agreement with Uzbekistan. The made in Italy of Orient Express La Dolce Vita to discover Samarkand and the Silk Road

Uzbekistan Railways JSC, le ferrovie dell’Uzbekistane Arsenal SpA., an Italian luxury hospitality company, have signed a Tashkentthe Uzbek capital, a preliminary agreement for the definitive agreement for the development of a “made in Italy” luxury train, which will operate in the Central Asian country starting from the end of 2026.

Arsenale: a train between high engineering and luxury craftsmanship

The agreement – explains a note – was signed by Khikmatulla RakhmetovDeputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Uzbek Railways, and from Paolo Barletta, CEO of Arsenale. The Tourism Committee will play a fundamental role in promoting the project among the itineraries and tourist experiences of the country. Arsenale, the company which in Italy, in the panorama of the slow luxury railway itinerary, has the Orient Express Dolce Vita project under its belt, will take care of the production phase of the train. The carriages will be equipped with high Italian engineering as well as the wisdom of Made in Italy craftsmen.
