Jakarta –
The UX 300e premium brand electric car used by the G20 Summit is reportedly sold out. Even the former G20 Summit unit has become the official car of the government and State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN).
This information was conveyed by Bansar Maduma, General Manager of Lexus Indonesia at the launch of the RX Series at the Astra Tower, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (21/2/2023).
“Actually, yesterday we focused on fulfilling UX (300e) to the G20, and in fact it has run out,” said Bansar.
“A lot of people are buying, of course the influence of costumers, then there are several governments. There are (government official vehicles), but not all, mostly BUMN, mostly BUMN,” he explained.
As is well known, the parent company of Lexus, the Indonesian Toyota brand, participated in enlivening the G20 Summit as a Brand Holder Agent (APM) that supports the mobility of participants and delegates and the G20 Summit in Bali on 15-16 November 2022.
“Actually (the number of uX300e units for the G20 Summit) was 113 (units), because last time we combined with bZ4x,” he said.
“So far it’s finished, only fulfillment. Specifically for ex G20 not (receiving orders), but normal (not former G20) yes (accepting orders),” he continued again.
Just like the Toyota bZ4x, the purchase scheme for the uX300e varies, from rental, subscription, credit to buying and selling in general.
“Actually the same, we offer Kinto, just as usual there are cash and credit,” he explained.
The UX 300e has entered the Indonesian market since 2020. The car is offered for IDR 1.245 billion.
The Lexus UX 300e uses an electric motor with a capacity of 54.3 kWh which can produce 201 hp and a peak torque of 300 Nm. Electric batteries placed on the floor, claimed by Lexus, can provide a good center of gravity, so the car will be more stable.
For power supply, this electric car uses a Lithium-ion type battery, which can last for a distance of 300 km (WLTP) on a single electric charge.
