Counselor Mustafa Elham discussed, during the meeting with the Secretary of the Secretariat of Mental Health and Addiction Treatment, ways to document cooperation and efforts to complete the activities of the General Secretariat of Mental Health and Addiction Treatment in the governorate, expressing the governorate’s readiness to provide all aspects of support for the implementation of the activities of the secretariat. During the meeting, the implementation of the training program “” Counselor of Friends” is a program for peer support to promote and spread awareness of mental health, which is implemented by the Municipality and targets the adolescent group, as a continuation of the success of the Municipality’s activities during the past year under the name “The Year of Adolescents”, which aimed to focus activities within the community in this category, which constitutes a large part of the Egyptian population.

In the same context, the Directorate of Health Affairs in Luxor organized daily medical convoy activities for two days at the headquarters of the Al-Humaydat Health Unit in the East of the Esna Health Administration, as part of the continuous endeavor to provide distinguished medical services to the people of Luxor Governorate, and to ensure that they reach citizens in all cities and villages of the governorate.

For his part, Dr. Taher Ayoub, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Luxor, says that the convoy included all the following specialties: Internal medicine, children, general surgery, dermatology, orthopedics, women, obstetrics, family planning, and early detection of blood pressure and diabetes. Mention it and disburse the treatment for free.
