Lust for power – View Info – 2024-04-12 14:37:20

/ world today news/ There are politicians who are infected with the incurable bacillus of the lust for power. And when it is threatened, they resort to all sorts of tricks, often dishonest and garnished with insinuations and falsehoods.

Kornelia Ninova, who rules in the BSP, said that she has not yet decided whether to run for BSP chairman or not.

This statement also confirms that her resignation due to the defeat of the BSP in the last elections was only pro forma. It did so – not with immediate effect, but with a delay – until January 22, enough time to ease the tension of the election loss, give her a chance to regroup her supporters and try to deal with her rivals for the post of chairman of the the party. Thus, at the time, Valery Zablyanov, her deputy, whom GERB managed to remove from the post of deputy speaker of the National Assembly, was fired after he tried to run for her post after an alleged resignation at the time. Now Krum Zarkov announced his candidacy, and she immediately exposed him – he was a supporter of the Istanbul Convention, against which she uncompromisingly fought, a kind of “gender”, while 80 percent of the people were against this convention. In a word, she hints, choose Zarkov in my place, and he can shake the convention and the gender ideology, according to which a man can decide that he is already a woman and the Bulgarian legislation will have to comply with this. This is a blow “below the cross” – an unauthorized and punishable blow to the abdomen in a boxing match between two rivals, but she is a master of such blows – she also inflicted such blows on Rumen Radev Radev before the elections, and now claims that her conscience was clear – he was re-elected president.

But it is about something else – about humility and integrity. About not making statements that might be taken as bordering on impertinence. When you resign because you are the chairman of a party that has failed during elections, you are saying with your gesture – I failed, I am resigning, choose someone else who would do better than me. And Ninova does not say such a thing, she states that she may also run for a congress to be re-elected as the chairman of the party, in a word, she is seriously thinking about this issue, but she has not decided yet. He will decide when the time comes. And it becomes clear that she is not giving up power. But as for Zarkov, he immediately countered by stating that he had expected her reaction to his desire to run for office and that he personally had no problem with the fact that the Istanbul Convention could not be ratified in Bulgaria.

The ousted former Prime Minister Borissov also has a similar thirst for power. He still can’t seem to believe that someone – not really someone, but the sovereign – has kicked his prime minister’s chair and he will never sit on it again. That he won’t be able to cuddle Hero Mustafa in his bear hug anymore because Uncle Sam has fallen out of love with him. That no more beautiful ladies would be forced to share his bed. That the turkeys won’t run after him anymore. That in the boxing match between his hated Radev and himself, Radev knocked him out – him, who is also a general, a karate player, a football player, an all-around gifted person, with whom European leaders consulted until recently. Such a painful loss of power is difficult for him to experience, and therefore he fiercely denounces the rulers appointed by the “dictator” Radev as hard-boiled scumbags, relying on people’s short-term memory. In the new parliament, GERB would propose a moratorium on the withdrawal of loans. When he is not in power, borrowing is a crime. At the time when Oresharsky took out a loan of one billion, it erupted that this enslaves the children who will have to pay this debt tomorrow. And when he came to power after that, he took out not one, not two or five, but as many as 16 billion loans. And having nothing else to bite the rulers with, he accused them that the people died from the coronavirus, we were the first in terms of mortality, he spoke of “corpses in sacks”. This story of his, like the one about taking out loans, is a “stab in the back”, dishonorable and bordering on impudence, because in the months before he fell from power, under his and GERB’s management, Bulgaria was first in percentage terms, then second in the world in mortality from coronavirus and last in the world in the number of people vaccinated.

Does Borisov imagine that people will believe him and once again wish to be a padishah and give people’s money from the SUV?

Don’t Ninova and Borisov understand that everything has its time. And that too much stagnation in the highest office is harmful to the party they lead, as well as to society and the state?
