Ukrainian goalkeeper of Real Madrid Andrey Lunin wants to leave Los Blancos during the winter transfer window.

According to the Spanish press, the 24-year-old Ukrainian is tired and fed up with what is happening in the Madrid club with the goalkeeper position. He has several serious offers from La Liga and beyond.

The main option is Villarreal, which can offer the Ukrainian playing time. “Yellow Submarine” wants to get the Ukrainian in January, and “Real” can earn a good amount for this transfer. However, the management of the Royal Club will not rush to sell Lunin until Courtois recovers from injury.

Other contenders also include Betis and Sevilla, who are closely monitoring the situation.

Also, after the completion of the contract with Real Madrid, the Scottish Celtic wants to sign Lunin as a free agent. The newest option is “Galatasaray”, but apart from the Turkish press, none of the serious publications confirmed this.

Note that even after Thibaut Courtois’s injury, Lunin did not become the main goalkeeper, and head coach Carlo Ancelotti made it clear that Kepa Arrizabalaga is his priority choice.

Earlier it was reported that the Ukrainian goalkeeper secretly extended his contract with Real Madrid, and his agreement is valid until the summer of 2025, and not the summer of 2024, as previously thought.
