A dozen club members are certified in first aid to ensure the safety of the members in all circumstances.
What treatments, what gestures should we know in the face of an accident, a malaise? The answers are in a training course in PSC1 (1st level civic first aid prevention), the first aid diploma that allows students to acquire the behaviors to adopt and the correct technical gestures to react in the face of emergency situations.
Members of the Heart and Health association office, and two active members, met at the Salle Folquet to obtain their diploma. Mr. Finoël, coach of the National Federation of Swimming and Sports Professions (FNMNS), led the day in front of a dozen motivated and studious students: “The day will be fullannounces, with seven hours of lessons to learn the basic gestures of first aid“.
Heart pathologies
It was by participating in the National Cardiology Days in Paris that these residents of Lunello understood the challenge of this training and had access to a lot of useful information for the proper functioning of their club.
“We help people with heart disease to stay in good physical and moral shape after hospitalizationsays Georges Cerdan, the manager. We have a suitable room and equipment, and we also go outdoors. If one of us isn’t feeling well, we need to be able to react quickly and do whatever it takes to wait for help. This training is very important“.
Although cardiology is at the forefront of this club, people with obesity and diabetes are invited to practice physical activity, with qualified speakers, in the seriousness that is required but also in conviviality. “Notre local is at the Ehpad of the Lunel hospital, do not hesitate to visit us.”
