Lunel: € 57,500 in sales for retail thanks to the City Foliz operation

The City Foliz operation gave a nice boost to the businesses of the Pays de Lunel during the holidays. It continues in January.

The City Foliz operation, launched by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of the Hérault and financed by the Pays de Lunel and the Region, reported, according to the CCI, a figure of € 57,500. business to traders in the community of Lunelloise, for an average shopping cart of € 33.

This is a first assessment. “The operation continues until the endowment is exhausted”, informs the CCI of Hérault. Of the € 30,000 in endowments planned, € 8,900 were distributed.

A positive result for traders

“The traders did well in December, everyone was delighted”, emphasizes Marie-Thérèse Sévérac, president of the trade association La Dynamique lunelloise.

Merchants in the center of Lunel deliver a positive assessment. “In December, it was a bit like the alignment of the planets, between the deconfinement, the activities of the town hall which were particularly nice this year”, rejoice Sarah and Aïnara, from the Boho clothing store.

Hollow of the wave

According to figures from the CCI Hérault, € 240 were pooled by customers for € 1,533 generated in stores. “We’re starting to get vouchers back”, abounds Julien Cambet. Its store, Coda Concept Store, which opened in August, generated more than € 1,100 in sales thanks to City Foliz.

“Since my tea room part is dormant, these cash-backs for customers are a help to boost my grocery and shop part and it’s good that it continues in January to compensate for the low after the holidays, notes Béatrice Alcon, from B.alcon Gourmand. Some customers had a bit of trouble downloading the app but once they got it they were super happy “, she adds.

“It’s difficult to measure but overall, with the activities of the town hall, it brought a little extra. We always work well during the holidays and in particular this year, people have let loose”, we notice at Fleur Bleue.
