New National Hockey League retiree Henrik Lundqvist is returning to New York, but this time in a role as Rangers game analyst for the MSG Network.
The 39-year-old former goaltender broke the news on Wednesday, making his debut in his new role on Thursday night, as the “Blueshirts” receive a visit from the Dallas Stars for their home opener.
“For 15 years, it was all about playing hockey for the Rangers. Now is the time to talk about Rangers hockey. I am very happy to join the MSG Network this season to chat and stay connected with the game, ”wrote on his Twitter account the Swede, who will take care of the studio analysis.
