Both students in 3e cycle (Diploma of Performing Artist) at the CNSM in Paris, Manon and Jorge have founded a duo that has already won numerous awards including the 1is City of Lyon Prize and the Bullukian Foundation Prize.

Jean-Philippe Bruttmann’s flamenco is contemporary, virtuoso but deep and sincere, imbued with Andalusia, jazz and orientality, that of flamenco but also of his own roots in Eastern Europe and North Africa. . His “Folia flamenca”, a version of this popular medieval Portuguese dance becomes a buleria, a frenzied gypsy rhythm; the voice, the clarinet, the violin, the flute are also summoned in various and evocative styles (solea, alegria, guajira, fandango, tango, rumba) to end with “Tsadok” and “Pomaria” which evoke Africa and its East.
