The Italian boat has so far always beaten the American sailing team, representing the New York Yacht Club: three times in total, once in the “preliminaries” and twice in the Round Robins.

The semi-finals are the best of five races. Then, starting on September 26, there will be the final of the Louis Vuitton Cup, the best of seven match races. The winner of the competition reserved for challengers will then participate, from October 12, again in Barcelona, in the 37th Americas Cup, against the defender, Emirates Team New Zealand.
