Luminus is the first energy supplier to offer permanent contracts again

From the first Monday of January you can apply again for a permanent contract at Luminus. Previously, the energy supplier, like other suppliers, only offered variable contracts. The terms of the contract will be published at the latest on Monday, says Nico De Bie, a spokesperson for Luminus. “Fixed costs will be the same as variable contracts.”

For the time being, Luminus is the only provider again offering permanent contracts. The decision was made following falling market prices and high demand. “50 to 60 percent of our clients prefer a permanent contract,” says De Bie. “Prices have come down enough now. We’ve been constantly monitoring the situation to see when we can offer those fixed rates again. We think now is the time.”
