According to him, the villa is in a beautiful environment. “But from all points of view it would probably be optimal. It’s a beautiful environment, it’s near the Castle, so getting to work is very fast. And at the same time it meets all the criteria in terms of safety,” he said.
But it is not decided yet. But he already ruled out that he would live directly at the Castle. “Probably few people would really want to live in a castle, and there are rooms like in an old castle with high ceilings and beautiful old furniture. But not at all reminiscent of housing,” he explained.
According to him, even the so-called Husák villa is not satisfactory. “This is basically a mansion, something like a smaller hotel, with at least 20, 30 rooms. This is not a place for one couple. I would feel completely out of place there.
President Václav Klaus lived in Lumbe’s villa, followed by Miloš Zeman. Recently, only Ivana Zemanova lived there, her husband stayed at the castle in Lány.
He will use the same office at the Castle as his predecessors Miloš Zeman, Václav Klaus and Václav Havel.
Pavel had previously announced that he would like to go to his home in Černouček in Litoměřice on weekends.
