Jeddah: A new milestone for Lulu in Saudi shopping history. Fast-growing retail shopping chain Lulu Hypermarket has opened its 31st outlet in Saudi Arabia in the heritage city of Jeddah Balad. Balad Municipality Mayor Ahmed Abdul Hamid Al Zahrani inaugurated the Lulu Express, which will give a new look to Jeddah Heritage City, which is included in the UNESCO Heritage City Project.

Spread over an area of ​​35,000 square feet, the Lulu Express branch at Balad is spacious and equipped with convenient parking facilities for 275 vehicles. There are 13 checkout counters. Besides fresh vegetables, fruits, grocery, fish, meat products, poultry, fresh and frozen food products, bio-diversity food products, salad, sweet drinks, premium fresh meat cuts, stalls are also set up for sale of household appliances, pet food etc. There are also special counters for food products grown in Saudi Arabia. An area called Lulu Connect has its own innovative hub for electronics. The management informed that Lulu Express will have all the necessary items for Umrah and Hajj pilgrims arriving at Balad known as the ‘Gate to Makkah’ at low prices.

At the opening ceremony, Lulu Saudi Director Shaheem Mohammed pointed out that the Lulu Group, which has always been aligned with the Saudi urban planning project and its rapid development, is actively participating in the development of Saudi Arabia by opening new branches across the country. He also said that he hoped that this branch in the heritage city of Balad would certainly write a new chapter in the development history of Jeddah. Shaheem Mohammad said that special offers have been made for local and foreign customers till May 30. Lulu Western Province Regional Director Rafiq Muhammadali also attended the function.
