Two men (aged 49 and 53) have been charged and remanded in custody for a period of 72 hours following police actions by officers from the “Economic Police” department at the Burgas State Police.
At the turnoff to the junction for the village of Mirolyubovo, the police officers found that at the moment of transferring fuel from a special vehicle – a gas carrier, with Burgas registration, owned by “NEFTOKHIM – TRANSPORT” JSC and connected to it by hoses, a Ford Transit minibus, with Burgas registration , suitable for storing and transporting propane – butane.
It was established that the 53-year-old driver of the special vehicle, transporting and delivering propane-butane, owned by “LUKOIL BULGARIA” EOOD to company gas stations, had committed an official crime, misappropriating the fuel from the special vehicle entrusted to him for the purpose of obtaining cash .
The driver of the special car, the 49-year-old van driver and his 61-year-old passenger were detained for a period of up to 24 hours. In the case, pre-trial proceedings were initiated under Art. 201 of the Criminal Code.
Numerous interrogations of witnesses and procedural-investigative actions were carried out, and large quantities of propane-butane were seized, illegally stored in cars and places adapted for this, thereby endangering the lives and health of citizens.
The drivers of the special car and the van were charged as defendants, and they were ordered to be detained for a period of up to 72 hours.
