Luke Littler is currently warming up darts icons like Michael van Gerwen, Gerwyn Price and Michael Smith, but unfortunately there won’t be a match on the big stage against Phil Taylor.
The 16-time world champion retired from darts at the beginning of 2018. Littler was only 10 years old at the time. Still, Taylor is willing to play an exhibition match against the English teenage sensation one day.
However, the 63-year-old darts legend has one condition for such a duel. ”I’m definitely willing to play against him in an exhibition match. One leg 301 and I’m starting,” Taylor told TalkSport.
Taylor has great respect for his young compatriot. ”He’s absolutely fantastic. I also like the fact that he gets a lot of support from the other professionals. I haven’t watched darts for a while, I had no interest in it. But Littler sparked my interest in darts again.”
