Luke Humphries has not made a mistake in the quarter-finals of the World Darts Championship. ‘Cool Hand Luke’ saw major competitor Michael van Gerwen thrown out earlier in the evening, but he himself won 5-1 against Dave Chisnall.

Against Chisnall, Humphries achieved an average of 103.50 and a finishing percentage of 40 percent, excellent figures for the current number three in the world. An important point in the match was the fifth leg of the fourth set. Chisnall missed one set arrow on tops, after which Humphries took a 3-1 lead in sets via double 2.
Humphries then also took the fifth set 3-2 after a 12-darter in the fifth leg. The Englishman then finished it off by taking the sixth set 3-0. Humphries will face Williams in the semi-finals, who surprisingly defeated Van Gerwen.
