According to Lukashenko’s press service, the Belarusian politician was in Grodno during his stay in connection with the start of the construction of a new building hospitaldeclared that “Belarus is preparing for war” but does not want to fight.
“Don’t believe anyone that we want to fight. We are preparing for war, I say it openly. +If you want peace, prepare for war+ – I didn’t come up with it. This is very rightly said,” Lukashenko emphasized.
He also stated, as reported in the message, that the necessary military preparations are underway in Belarus, and the army is being supplied with various types of weapons and equipment.
Lukashenko also noted that “Belarus does not pose a threat to anyone.” The Zierkało portal points out that Lukashenka has been talking about the war more and more often recently.
In Belarus, a combat readiness test in the army has been underway since March 11, and the Ministry of Defense regularly informs about various activities as part of the exercises. On Tuesday, the Ministry of Defense announced the commencement of command and staff maneuvers with the participation of territorial defense forces in the Grodno and Gomel regions.
