“I picked up the phone to call wherever [Krievijas prezidents Vladimirs Putins] would, he will lift. If he calls, I pick up, any minute, even now. So what’s the problem with coordinating some sort of strike?”
Lukashenko added that he “didn’t just ask, but demanded” that Putin return tactical nuclear weapons to Belarus. Although he does not need strategic ones, Belarus is not going to war with the USA, “but tactical ones are completely enough” to shoot at closer targets, and he and Putin have agreed on that.
“Let the enemies tremble,” threatened the dictator. “They want to tear us to pieces since 2020, but no one has yet waged war against a nuclear state.”
Lukashenko, who has ruled Belarus since 1994, is holding on to power after the scandalous presidential election in 2020, when he won a landslide victory and bloodily suppressed protests. Lukashenko is not recognized as the president of Belarus by many countries of the world, including European Union members, the United States, Canada, Great Britain and Japan.
Soon after the Russian invasion, Lukashenko claimed that neither Russia nor Belarus attacked Ukraine at all, but rather that Belarus itself was about to be attacked, but Russia only launched a pre-emptive strike. Lukashenko’s stories about how he was going to show on the map where the attack was planned from turned into mocking Internet memes.
