President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko ordered in the next few hours to complete negotiations with Russia on oil supplies to the country, BelTA informs. This was announced by Chairman of the Belneftekhim Concern Andrei Rybakov following a meeting with the head of state.
According to him, he instructed conclude contracts for the supply of oil in order to ensure the smooth operation of two oil refineries.
An order was also given to ensure deliveries from alternative sources in the coming days. First of all, we are talking about the delivery by rail from ports in the Baltic, as well as the involvement of the Druzhba oil pipeline.
Earlier, the Kremlin said that Moscow and Minsk have not yet agreed on the oil issue.
In late December, Lukashenko announced a possible scheme alternative route oil imports. It consists in a large-scale restart of two of the three threads of “Friendship” in reverse.
