The President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko spoke about Ukraine’s attempt to strike the territory of his country with a Point-U missile. It was intercepted and dumped near the Pripyat River, he was quoted as saying by BelTA.
The head of state drew attention to the fact that “they will try to involve” Belarus in the operation in Ukraine.
“Proof of this is another launch, two days ago at night, a strike was made on our territory with a” Point-U “missile, which we successfully intercepted and destroyed over Pripyat with the Russians. I’m rolling somewhere by the river. Who is interested and close, to come and see. What I am telling you is not a lie.
We just didn’t talk about it. We needed to understand what was happening there, “Lukashenko said at a meeting with the leadership and operational staff of state security agencies.
He added that the country could not be destroyed with one missile, because “this missile will simply not fly to us.”
According to the Belarusian leader, all this is being done in order to provoke the country and start reacting.
“But we are not so stupid. If we answer, we will answer decently, everyone will feel it. For now, we are patient,” Lukashenko said.
