They said that local authorities will be able to verify other types of craft activities on their land. The press service also said that it will be possible to engage in craft activities if you pay tax on professional income or craft tax.
Here are the grounds on which local authorities will decide, according to the order, whether a person should pay trade tax:
- whose rank is the master of the people,
- membership in the Belarusian Union of Masters of Folk Art,
- working as a master of rural craft (crafts) in a budget organization,
- receiving an old age or long service pension,
- disability group I or II,
- accommodation in an area with a low population (up to 50 people).
To start engaging in trade activities, you must pay tax on professional income (that is, register with the tax authority) or trade tax.
The order prohibited the use in craft activities of:
- tusks and elephant tusks,
- hippopotamus,
- seahorse,
- narwhal,
- wild boar,
- rhinoceros horns,
- the teeth of every animal,
- precious metals and stones.
Artisans will be able to sell their products on:
- shopping malls,
- fairs,
- rented space in retail facilities,
- in shopping malls,
- internet,
- and more.
The order allows them to transfer their goods to legal entities and individual entrepreneurs for sale under civil contracts. The document also states that artisans will be able to teach crafts to others (apprentices) free of charge. In addition, the artisan purchases the raw materials, materials and tools necessary for training at his own expense.
