Lukashenko accuses Ukraine of “provocations” at the border / Diena

In February, Lukashenko allowed Russia to use Belarusian territory as a stepping stone for an invasion of Ukraine, but claims that Minsk is not involved in the war.

According to the totalitarian regime-controlled BelTA agency, the Belarus dictator said Ukrainian army units sent to the border have blocked roads and are also creating checkpoints and fire posts.

Lukashenko said that Ukraine not only “barricaded itself”, but “built a wall” and constantly conducts optical, radioelectronic and radio technical reconnaissance of the territory, troops and objects of Belarus.

Lukashenko said Ukraine often violates the country’s airspace border with its drones. “At the same time, they worry and worry: ‘Oh, don’t let Belarus get involved in the war,’ but there are constant provocations on the border,” the dictator added.

He said that Minsk will be involved in the war only to prevent its spread to Belarus and to “prevent an attack on Belarus under the pretext of a special military operation from Poland, Lithuania and Latvia”.

“As I said, no one shoots Russians in the back from Belarus,” Lukashenko stressed.
