Slovak hockey forward Lukáš Cingel will end his career in the Czech extra-league team HK Mountfield Hradec Králové after this season. The club informed about it on its website.
The thirty-year-old center joined the team before the start of the 2017/2018 season from Sparta Prague. Czech striker Jakub Lev will not continue with him either. “We had open and fair negotiations with them about their possibility to remain in the team. We also had a preliminary agreement. However, Lukáš wanted to be closer to his family in Slovakia. The offer he received is very lucrative for him and a certain challenge after six years spent in Hradec. However, at this moment both are ready to fight for Hradec and achieve the best possible placement in the playoffs.” said general manager Aleš Kmoníček.
In the next season, Cingela could be replaced by a Slovak striker, according to iSport.cz Alex Tamáš from Banská Bystrica.
