The Red Devil flawlessly completed a cross from newcomer Hakimi on his first hit. Gagliardini brought Inter to 0-2 after 25 minutes and Lukaku gave Lukaku another 0-3 three minutes later. It finished cool-blooded – and with loose laces.
In the end of the first half, both teams scored in a similar way, after hopeless blunders when playing from the back. Caprari took 1-3, Hakimi 1-4.
At half time, newcomer Daam Foulon was allowed to come in for Benevento. The Belgian U23 international already played eighty minutes on Saturday at Sampdoria (2-3 victory) in his debut in the Serie A. Foulon, however, also could not prevent Inter from scoring a fifth time.
This time substitute Martinez was the scorer. The final agreement was again for the home team. With his second of the evening, Caprari set the final score at 2-5. Lukaku was changed after 65 minutes.
Inter counts the maximum of six points after two match days and takes the lead in Italy. Benevento started with 3 out of 6
