Romelu Lukaku has spoken about his special relationship with Napoli coach Antonio Conte, explaining that the Italian tactician has helped him elevate his game in terms of football and mentality.
Lukaku officially joined Napoli on a permanent transfer from Chelsea on Thursday afternoon in a deal costing the Partenopei €30m plus a 30% sell-on clause.

During his trip to Naples, Lukaku explained why he was so happy to be working with Conte again. The last time they worked together was at Inter, which resulted in a Scudetto win and 24 league goals for the Belgian.
“I have a history with him that started many years ago. He wanted a big guy for nine or ten years, but we never had the opportunity to work together. Then we had the opportunity a few years ago.
“I think he took me to another level in terms of football, but also mentally.”
The 31-year-old added that he had one photo in particular that was particularly close to his heart.
“The most beautiful thing I have is the photo I have with him when we won the Scudetto. For me, it’s the most beautiful thing that comes out of our journey together.”
