Manager Chelsea Thomas Tuchel don’t care what Romelu Lukaku do. Because, Tuchel only needed Lukaku’s goals to help the Blues win.
Lukaku was in the spotlight after his interview with Sky Sports some time ago. In the interview, Lukaku openly attacked Chelsea, especially Tuchel, which made him unable to appear comfortable.
According to Lukaku, Tuchel’s style of play does not suit him. Therefore, Lukaku has difficulty performing well and has only scored eight goals in all competitions.
Lukaku also had an injury and was exposed to COVID-19 which was the reason why he was less enthusiastic. This then made Tuchel angry and sentenced Lukaku.
It was only in the last two matches, Lukaku played again and the results were positive, Chelsea beat Tottenham Hotspur in the English League Cup semifinals and Chesterfield in the FA Cup.
Lukaku contributed one goal in Chelsea’s 5-1 win over Chesterfield. The goal seemed to be a sign of Lukaku’s apology to the Chelsea squad and also Tuchel.
For Tuchel, the problem with Lukaku will no longer be remembered by him. Because, for Tuchel, he just wants to see Romelu Lukaku score a goal. If he can do it regularly, then the public will be indifferent to his problems off the field.
“We don’t want to change his style of play or players. Just be Romelu as usual and we don’t have a problem. He will score goals because that’s what he usually does. Attackers are only judged by the goals,” Tuchel said. Daily Mail.
