Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku has voiced his battle against Cristiano Ronaldo for the top scorer title.
Romelu Lukaku is among the most prolific forwards in Europe this season. Following the goal he scored against Genoa this weekend (3-0), the Belgian increased his Serie A goals tally to 18. Now he is only one unit away from Cristiano Ronaldo, who tops the scorers’ standings in the Italian league.
Lukaku only thinks of the Scudetto
Lukaku is therefore prolific at the forefront, but winning the title of capocannoniere is not one of his goals. When he was questioned by Sky Italy About his duel with Ronaldo, the former Mancunian declared that he “only thinks of winning”. “I’m having a good time in my career and Inter are all I’m interested in,” he added. Its thinking is therefore entirely focused on the collective.
Following their success against the Rossoblu, the Interists have consolidated their place as the leader of the championship. A first Scudetto since 2010 is at hand, but Lukaku and his teammates do not ignite. “We’re improving, we’re at the top of the table, it’s a great feeling, but we have to keep going. We faced losses in these games last season and we want to improve. I’m really happy with the victory this weekend. Now we have to focus on Parma, it won’t be an easy game. We want to show our opponents that we are there. We also have to focus on one game at a time, ”thundered goleador nerazzurro.
