Luka Jovic pushes Bundesliga return: will Bayern strike?

Luka Jovic’s time at Real Madrid hasn’t really been satisfactory so far. The Serb was once signed as Benzema’s successor but failed to live up to the high expectations in Spain. Rumors of a change keep doing the rounds, including now: According to the latest reports, the ex-Frankfurter is pushing for a change in the summer and is hoping to return to the Bundesliga. Is the Serb an option for FC Bayern?

Jovic has only played 473 minutes at Real this season, in which he was able to contribute one goal and two assists. This is clearly not enough for his requirements, which is why he is now apparently seriously considering a change. This is how “Sky” reporter Florian Plettenberg reportsthat Jovic wants to return to the Bundesliga in the summer, so the Premier League should not tempt him. In the Bundesliga, the 24-year-old had his best time so far when he went for goals for Eintracht Frankfurt. The Serbian international has scored 40 goals and prepared ten more in 90 games for Hessen.

Jovic would be cheap

The big question that now arises for Bayern fans: will Munich hit Jovic? Due to the rumors about the faltering contract talks between Robert Lewandowski and Bayern, it could well be that sooner or later FCB will deal with the Serb.

So far, however, there are no signs that the 24-year-old is a serious candidate on the Isar. This is probably because Jovic has been a total failure at Real to date and Bayern have doubts as to whether he can actually follow in Lewandowski’s footsteps. The advantage: Jovic’s market value is only 18 million euros, which is why he would be cheap for Bayern. Significantly cheaper than other strikers such as Darwin Nunez, Romelu Lukaku, Patrick Schick or Sebastien Haller, all of whom are currently associated with Munich.
