The Slovenian in the service of the Dallas Mavericks showed an incredible performance in the 135: 133 overtime win over Los Angeles, which meant the 2: 2 equalization in the best-of-seven series, in the fourth playoff game of his career.

The 21-year-old went into the fourth duel with the Clippers with a damaged ankle and scored a triple-double again with 43 points, 17 rebounds and 13 assists. After NBA legend Magic Johnson he is the second youngest player to conjure up two triple doubles in consecutive playoff games on the scoreboard. Before that, no player had put up such numbers in the playoffs.

“We know that this guy has a sense for drama. He lives for moments like this,” said Dallas coach Rick Carlisle after the game about his protégé.

Dallas makes a historic comeback

Led by Doncic, Dallas even made the biggest playoff comeback in franchise history after being 21 points behind. And all of that without the second Mavs star Kristaps Porzingis, who had to sit out with knee problems.

Besides Doncic, Trey Burke (25 points) and Tim Hardaway Jr. (21 points) were the best throwers among the Texans. In the end, 36 points from Lou Williams and 32 points from Kawhi Leonard were not enough for the Clippers to win. Paul George, who only got nine points, remained below expectations.

With a Doncic in this form and with this self-confidence, it now suddenly seems possible for the seventh-placed Mavs to advance.
