Nostalgia trumps in a new episode of Alloo. Luk Alloo (57) visits four elderly Flemish people who prefer to live far in the past. For example, the 73-year-old Jacques has lived for forty years between jukeboxes, turntables, cassette recorders and old televisions piled up meters high. His way to escape the hustle and bustle of the day.

“I couldn’t believe my eyes,” says Alloo. “Jacques’ work table is almost impossible to find among all the devices. He is a living encyclopedia: Jacques knows all brands and all types of lamps, spare parts and fuses up to 70 years ago. Interviewing him was not easy, because he kept talking about a type of radio from 1931 or a turntable from 1968. He never wanted a marriage or family life. That’s how passionate he is. ”
Roger (82) in turn collects old cars in his shed. Good for a small fortune on Rolls Royces and Mercedes. “But money doesn’t interest me. If I can afford bread and milk every day, I am happy. ”
